Euro profile cylinder holes in doors that do not require a lock can be sealed with blind cylinders. Blind cylinders, also known as dummy cylinders, are particularly suitable for installation in fire doors that act as partition doors and must not be locked for safety reasons. By sealing the keyhole with a blind cylinder, it can prevent oxygen from being drawn through the cylinder hole in the event of a fire.

In contrast to profile blind cylinders, our variable blind cylinders can be used for different door thicknesses. This allows the profile cylinder hole in the door fitting to be sealed easily. Due to the versatile adjustment range, one model can be used for various doors and door thicknesses. Variable blind cylinders from BASI are matt nickel-plated. In addition, we also stock variable blind cylinders suitable for fire-retardant doors up to T90, as well as models that can be installed without drilling.
