| The right fire resistant fitting for fire doors


For fire doors, a suitable fitting is necessary to ensure that the door can be fully fire resistant. BASI offers you all types of fire resistant fittings in various designs: short door plate, long door plate or stile fittings as lever handle or lever handle fittings. Our lever fittings are equipped with round and fixed knobs as well as square or round backplates. Our lever handle fittings are available in U-shape. Each of our fire resistant fittings is also available in aluminium, stainless steel or black plastic. This means you can always offer your customers the optimum fittings and leave no wish unfulfilled.


| What is special about fire resistant fittings?


Security fittings are generally subject to strict testing regulations. Fire resistant fittings must also meet special requirements that are regulated in DIN 18273. These include a continuous function test of at least 200,000 opening and closing operations, which must be carried out without damage such as cracks or deformations. Such a test ensures the functionality of the fire resistant fitting even after prolonged use. In addition, the substructure and the core of the security fitting must be made of steel with a melting point of over 1000°C. This ensures that the security fitting is still functional in the event of a fire.
