Electric strikes are typically used in apartment buildings to open the entrance door remotely. Their use is also commonplace in office buildings and medical facilities.
Electric door openers are often used in conjunction with an intercom system. By pressing a door opener, the guest is released to open the door, which can then be pushed open. When the door opener is no longer operated, the entrance door is locked again.

| Mounting and function
The electric strike is mounted in the strike plate at the height of the latch. The current pulse ensures that the latch is released and the door can be opened.
| Electric strike with mechanical unlocking device
We also offer electric strikes with a mechanical release. This means that the electric strike can be brought into a permanent position by means of a lever. This mechanical release is required when locking is temporarily not necessary, e.g. in shops.
| The right electric strike for every door
BASI offers asymmetrical electric strikes which are suitable for both DIN-right and DIN-left opening doors. In addition, electric strikes with a symmetrical design are available, which can be used universally for left and right hinged doors. Our electric strikes are operated with a nominal voltage of 6-12 volts or 10-24 volts, depending on the model. They are also available in 20 mm or flat design in 16.5 mm.
