| Which doors can BASI cater for in its range?
Here at BASI, you can find the right interior door lock not only for simple room doors, but for every internal door. This includes bathroom and toilet doors because the lower lock nut allows a special WC fitting or bathroom rosette fitting to be mounted. An interior door lock with a profile cylinder hole can be used as a mortise lock for apartment entrance doors. Suitable profile cylinders and keys are also available to order directly from our online shop. Of course, we also offer the classic interior door lock with a warded hole. In this case, delivery also includes a key for the warded door lock.
| Tested quality and easy installation
Every door lock from BASI enables the straightforward installation of screwed-on door fittings and rosette fittings because the lock holes are standardised in accordance with DIN 18251-1 (Class 1 or Class 2) and/or tested in accordance with the Austrian standard B 5350. The lock case is enclosed to protect the mechanism from dirt.
BASI offers a large variety of mortise locks, and with a choice of rounded or angular faceplates, our locks are suitable for a wide range of doors. At BASI, you will always find a suitable mortise lock – for both right and left-hinged interior doors. Most of our interior door mortise locks are designed for rebated doors, but we also supply locks for flush or non-rebated doors.
The standard backset for interior door locks is 50 or 55 mm. The distance between the centre of the keyhole and the centre of the handle hole and the dimensions of the square follower also vary.
| Which materials are interior door mortise locks from BASI made from?
Depending on the model, you can get a mortise lock with a nickel-silver coated faceplate or one made from stainless steel. The bolts and latches are either metal or plastic according to which lock you choose. Plastic bolts and latches allow doors to be closed very quietly.
